The 101st Airborne Division uses this model in the Trail Gator & Military Gator version. There have been instances where these machines where used in Afghanistan; they went there new and had over 1200 hrs. put on them with no services what so ever except for fuel and adding oil if needed. No filters, oil changes, or any other services. They came back pretty trashed out, but still running and after being serviced properly were back in use. They are currently being used in Iraq and the only calls for help I have recieved for my unit's Gators is one cooling fan motor. If the soldiers have a hard time tearing them up, I am sure you will be VERY happy with yours since you take good care of it.

Yeah, it sure is........the pilot Mark (had the brain surgery scar on his head)who was on TV last night, is a friend. I have worked with him off and on for several years.

I was medically grounded about a year or so back due to a pineal tumor (brain tumor) and can no longer fly. It causes many other symptoms as well. Tomorrow is my final out from the Army. I am being medically retired after about 21 years.

Mark,

To be honest, I had a lot of fun and did some very rewarding work the last year working logistics projects like the John Deere tractors and several other things. It turned out to be a welcome change. The tumor is beneign and aside from some really severe headache's and a few other whacky symptoms, I count myself very fortunate. The doc prescribes me some drugs that help alot. Over all, it was probably time for me to go. No hard feelings and I can look back at my time in the Army with pride and little "what the heck was I thinking!" Laughing out loud!

Randy
